Diverse Studio is honored to partner with St. Charles College in the thoughtful renovation of Borromeo Hall in Grand Coteau, Louisiana. Formerly known as Kostka Hall, this two-story, 6,000-square-foot structure has served the Jesuit community for over a century and will continue to do so with renewed purpose.

Our mission is to preserve the building’s historical legacy while modernizing it to meet the current needs of the Jesuit priests. The second floor will continue to serve as private sleeping quarters, now upgraded with enlarged rooms and private bathrooms. The first floor will be transformed into shared living spaces including a kitchen, dining area, library, visitor’s lounge, sacristy, office, and amore.

Rooted in historic preservation, the design includes restoring original windows and wood finishes, removing non-original elements, and retrofitting doors to reflect the building’s original character. Borromeo Hall will continue to serve as a vital space for the Jesuit priests, blending tradition with functionality to support their mission for years to come.
